Making Fresh Almond Milk

Eating raw food for a living (in contrast to dying for processed food), although worthwhile, takes effort. There aren’t a lot of old family recipes coming out of the woodwork. There is good news, however. At Kristen’s Raw blogspot, there is a wonderful recipe for Raw Vegan Almond (Nut) Milk.

The recipe has step-by-step instructions accompanied by pictures. The pictures come in handy for novices (such as your humble writer) who are just beginning to learn this type of meal preparation. Furthermore, Kristen gives the reader suggestions for modifying the recipe with different nuts and seeds such as pecans, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, and cashews.

The recipe sounds delicious and doesn’t look difficult. As Kristen writes, “Every raw foodie should always have a quart of raw vegan nut milk in his / her refrigerator because apart from the great elements noted above, it’s versatile and can be used in many ways.” I think I’ll try it.
