The main ingredient of apple cider vinegar, or any vinegar, is acetic acid. However, vinegars also have other acids, vitamins, mineral salts, and amino acids.

As you can see these benefits are pretty amazing. I usually just put a table spoon in the vegetable juice I make or mix it with a Gatorade. If you can tolerate the taste and then just doing a straight up table spoon is fine but I prefer to mix it.
